Nancy Diamond is an Atlanta native who has called Roswell home for the last 25 years. She and husband Glenn have 2 daughters, 18 and 23.
While attending Georgia State University, Nancy went to work for a new television venture, Cable News Network. After 8 years with Turner Broadcasting, she became a freelancer in sports television graphics when their first daughter Ashley was born. In 1988 she started a corporate gift service out of her home. Nine years later, when both daughters were in school, she sold the business and went to work as a mortgage loan originator.
In 2004, Nancy was offered an opportunity to co-chair the STAR House Foundation. This long-running education program for at-risk children was at a turning point in leadership and financial status. When the decision was made to continue the program, Nancy worked full time to bring in resources to stabilize the program. Calling on contacts from years of volunteer work in the schools and civic organizations, STAR House has since tripled board and advisory board membership, doubled the number of students served, and maintained virtually the same budget as in 2005.
